Day 260

TODAY I MET KARA AND LUCILLE, our renters.  We are fortunate to have such fine young ladies renting our house.  Sorry, no photo, so I decided to add the below photo.

GRILLED CHICKEN WAS one of the the barbecued delights we enjoyed from John Yoder’s grill.

Day 259

BARBCUED SHRIMP was one of the tasty treats we enjoyed during our stay in the U.S.  These were grilled by John Yoder, with a little of my assistance.  If want to taste some good grillin’ you need to have one of John’s treats, including steak, chicken breasts, etc.

Day 256

ALICE, MY WIFE, in a vegetable market in Sarasota, Florida, U.S.A.

Day 251

NICE FRUIT SALAD which was also very tasty.

Day 218

PRODUCE DISPLAYED AT store near Fredericksburg, OH, U.S.A.

Day 171

I HAD A NICE BREAKFAST with my friend, Charles at this hotel (restaurant). Alice and I headed for the Dhaka airport at 10 pm, for our 1:20 flight with Malaysia Airlines.

Day 167

HOTEL GREEN IN TOWN HALL MARKET was where my friend and I had a great breakfast of curried beef, bhaji, and nan ruti.  Little restaurants are called hotels.  Actually this is one of the few that actually has rooms.  This photo shows the hotel from across the street.  I went back this afternoon to get this photo so you don’t see the action out front making the porotas and nan ruti.

More wrap-up things today, four more morning walks, farewells and Sunday evening at 10 heading for the airport.

Day 166

BANGLADESHIS ARE ONE OF THE MOST HOSPITABLE people in the world.  Most times when visiting in a home you are given a snack.  Sometimes it is a nice sweet biscuit and 7-up, and sometimes biscuits with tea.  Sometimes it is fruit or mishti (sweets).  Here is a treat we enjoyed during our visit to an MCC project in Mymenshingh, Bangladesh.

After our early morning (4:45) walk I realized there will only be five more of those walks before we head for Ohio, via KL (Malaysian airport), Los Angeles, and Columbus!

Day 130

MY DEAR WIFE, ALICE  with the Mother’s Day gift she received from Austin’s.  Riley couldn’t wait to give it to her.  He crawled under the table and on to my lap, and gave her the gift bag as he said, “Happy Mother’s Day!”

FRENCH FRIES at the American Club where we went with Austin’s and Dustin to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Day 92

POROTA IS A typical bread served with eggs or curried dal or veggies for breakfast.  Here is one I was served at the hotel (restaurant)  in Khumarkali before I left for Dhaka.

Day 72

FISH AND SHRIMP CURRIES AND BHAJI I enjoyed while on a visit to Khulna with my friend Robi.

Day 56

Hot chilis drying on the rooftop.
