On the walking path past the Chowrasta in Darjeeling, I had taken a photo of these gentleman. Later we met them at Keventer’s Restaurant.
It must be the wedding season. Last evening I attended the second Guy Holud event in one week, both being for grooms whom I play football with. At a Guy Holud the main event is putting tumeric on the face, and feeding the groom fruits and sweets. The photo is of Asif Hossain Asrafi and I, and today is the wedding reception for him and Nasima Arfin (Mou)! Congratulations! Doing a lot of traveling these days. It’s so nice to be made to feel welcome by friends and family!
My friend Rasel invited me to his sister’s house for a nice meal of jumbo shrimp, curried veggies, beef, chicken and pangash mach (fish), and other veggies, and rice. The meal was topped with this dessert and then followed by some good Bengali cha (tea). Thanks Rasel!
