My Grandson Gets Some Practice in Bangladesh!
(Bangla) Katal, the national fruit of Bangladesh! You either love it or you don’t!
After a morning football (soccer) match they shared this fruit with us. Credits go to my son, Austin for the photo. I had taken my grandson to the field to play football with these guys, trying to get in a few matches before Ramadan started.
The one photo is of me reaching for my “bulb” of Jack Fruit! It is a species of tree in the mulberry and fig family.
Soon I’ll be in the land where coffee is the preferred morning hot drink (U.S.A). But until then I will enjoy my morning cup of “Cha (Milk tea with sugar and sweetened condensed milk) while in Bangladesh!” Yum, Yum! I actually had both coffee and cha this morning and I am ready for the day.
Travel time to the airport was 90 minutes! They arrived at the airport just at Iftar time, so the doors are closed while the people inside are eating their Iftar food. It was special to be able to spend good times with our son and grandson!
